Jesus Christ is the Son of God. The Bible tells us that, God the Father loved the world so much, that He sent His only Son into the world, conceived by the Holy Spirit in the womb of the virgin, Mary, and that anyone who believes in Him, will not perish, but have everlasting life.
When Jesus matured, a man named, John the Baptised declared, “Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the whole world!”
We have all sinned – every one of us, without exception, and the Bible says that all sin has a pay-day, and the pay-out for sin is death. There is just simply no amount of “good” that we can do to turn the tables, to weigh the scales in our favour, and to remove the consequence of our sinful actions before God. Therefore, Jesus Christ bore the sin of the whole world in His own sinless body on the Cross, and suffered the excruciating punishment by death, under the perfect judgement of a righteous God. And then, Father God raised His Son from the dead three days later! Jesus Christ is the Resurrection and the Life. As a result, you and I can now, not only walk free from the penalty and consequence of our sin, but in Christ, we are given His life as a free gift, which puts us in perfect right-standing before God. It’s remarkable! It’s called the Good News.
The Scripture says that, in order to have heaven as your home, and to become a child of God, you must be born again – you must be adopted into God’s family by the Holy Spirit. It says further that if anyone is in Christ, that person is a brand new creation, old things have passed away, and everything has become brand new! I think we all wish that some of the old from our past could be erased.
That can be your experience today, right now, if you sense that God the Holy Spirit has put faith in your heart towards what God the Son, Jesus Christ, has done for you.
Would you please pray this prayer from your heart, designed from the Scriptures to secure your eternal Salvation with God – say this:
“Father God, I come to you today, in the name of Jesus Christ, your Son.
I recognise that I have sinned against you, and I ask you to please forgive me for all that I have done wrong, and to wash me clean in the precious blood of your Son.
Lord Jesus Christ, I believe that you took all of my sin in your own body on the cross, and that you died for me, that you were buried, and three days later, you rose from the dead, to give me new life. I receive that new life by faith right now. I believe that according to the Scriptures I am now saved, I am born-again, I am a child of God! Thank you, Lord. Amen.”
